FLASHING METALS

The flashing metals are very important components on a roof system, some "contractors" do not understand that in our region the weather is inclement and it is not the same as in other states. Too much snow and too much rain translates in highier chances of water intrusion. Gallardo Roofing LLC will install W valley metals around the adjoining roof planes, Starter metals around the eaves and drip edge metals around the gables.  The roof to wall metals and the step flashings around the roof to wall sections as well as the back pan metals on the upper sections of the skylights, chimneys or roof to wall sections are also flashing metals that we always replace when a new roof is intalled.

CRICKET UNITS

On chimneys wider than 2' [24"] or roof to wall sections wider than 2' [24"], we always install cricket units. It is common sense to try and avoid any chances of water intrusion caused by snow/debris accumulation after all.

ADVANCED LEAK RESISTANCE

We will water prof the adjoining roof planes, areas of high traffic of water and roof penetrations such as vents, plumbing pipes, skylights and chimneys. The ice and water felt is a special felt [sticky] that will be installed around key spots to ensure that your roof will be free of water leaks. Also our 20 year craftmanship warranty will give you the peace of mind that Gallardo will be there 24/7 always ready to help you if needed. He scanned the roof with a drone, went into the crawl space to determine the exact location of the leak, and was able to give me several quotes for varying degrees of work that could be done, not only to solve the immediate problem, but also to extend the life of the roof. I went with an option that had his crew swap out all of the vents that were in various stages of failure and also replace the shingles that were cracked or missing. They did the work on January 26, 2021, and he sent me 'before and after' pictures with the final bill. I feel confident that the work done by Gallardo Roofing was fairly priced and done with care and expertise. I would recommend Salvador and his crew!

We had water leaking into the house from two areas of the roof during heavy rains. Salvador and his professional crew did a full roof and gutter replacement on our house. The work they did was amazing. In preparing the estimate, Salvador personally got up on the roof and into the attic to inspect the roof, gutters and attic and noted several serious problems with the work done when the house was built, especially with the roof. The other two companies that provided estimates did not come close to the level of detail and attention that Salvador provided. Although Salvador's estimate was not the least expensive, the thoroughness of his review convinced us that his company was the best choice. The crew worked full days every day, including the weekend, for seven days. It's hard to imagine how things could have gone smoother or more quickly. Everything looks great and is working perfectly so far with no more leaks after a couple of downpours. Salvador's commitment to customer service was outstanding. Several years ago, we had a problem with rats getting into the attic, which was caused by the builder's faulty and defective roof construction. Salvador had some ideas about how to fix that problem more permanently, which went above and beyond the typical roof replacement. He also noticed that the builder did not install a "chimney cricket," which diverts water away from the chimney to prevent damage to the chimney and water leaks, so he installed a proper chimney cricket. In addition, the gutter specialists installed a few new downspouts in heavy water areas to reduce the chances of any further roof leaks. We will definitely use Gallardo Roofing for any future roofing and gutter needs.
